Hammer A3-31 Custom infeed/outfeed tables
Hi All,
Been lurking for awhile but thought I’d share this little project to make timber machining life a bit easier.
I wanted to buy the oem infeed/outfeed tables but at $1500 a pair from Felder, I decided to buy some aluminium extrusions and parts and make my own.
Started with 1000mm long 160x40 extrusions and cut the rail slots on my mitre saw.
Then drilled and tapped two M8 holes for leveling grub screws.
At the bottom I attached a heavy duty hinge with a clamp, cut some 40x40 aluminium for the leg.
Finally attached the height adjustable feet for each side.
These tables are removed easily for storage and attached to the stock rails on the jointer/thicknesser.
After attaching both tables, it gives a total bed length of 3500mm. Perfect for long boards!
Total cost for parts was approx $300. Took half a day planning to completion.
Comments/feedback welcome!

Looks good.
So they just rest on the bracket, rather than clamp on like the Felder fare? Any issues with them moving about as you feed?
Where did you buy the loominum from?

Hi Sapherion,
I assume the mounting bracket on the machine is from Felder?
My machine only has one of those brackets on the infeed table, so assume you purchased this extra or is came with your machine?

Yes they rest on the bracket. There’s also two grub screws on the side where it touches the cast iron table. Those screws make a tight fit which removes any play during load.
The aluminium was purchased from Modular Components in Dandy south.
