    Default Helical/spiral head upgrade for 13" thicknesser?

    Hi All,

    Last year I bought a basic 13" 1500W thicknesser - a Bayer BAYPL13 - which uses a pair of long blades. It's been quite useful but I'm keen for a helical cutter head.

    From recent research, the Bayer seems pretty much identical to
    Hafco T13B
    Saber SABMB13
    Sherwood MB-1932
    (Looks like they're rebrands from a common OEM.)

    Timbecon sell a Sherwood branded spiral/helical cutterhead replacement for the Sherwood MB-1932, and I'm guessing it might fit in all the others.

    Has anyone done the replacement on the Sherwood, or (better still) tried the replacement on the other models (above)?

    Timbecon don't have any instructions or videos for the replacement head so I guess I could remove the existing head and compare it to photos of the replacement before taking a gamble on $500. )

    Just sell it and buy a bigger combination machine that already has a spiral head.
