help please with dewalt radial arm saw
hello all. this is my first post and i would like some help with regards to radial arm saws.
i have been looking for infomation on the dewalt 7790 radial arm saw. i would like to know if this is a good model saw and what would they be worth second hand in really good condition as i am about to inspect one in the next few days with the hope of purchasing it if all goes well.
from what i can make out, this saw cuts 100mm deep but does not draw out all that far.
is there anyone who can give me some tips about this saw and what to look for and also a fair price. the pictures i have seen show a saw with very little use. and i have been told it is as new.
any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I've got one of those I bought a couple of years ago for $400. Works great. Mine is running a 12" blade. Think about 4" cut is right. Will cut around 18" width from memory.
Making a really good table is important to get them working best and is on my list of things to do.
Check out a "Mr Sawdust" table on the net.
cheers
Steve

thanks steve for the info. what sort of condition did you saw come in when you got it for that price. the seller wants more than 500 for it but says it is in execellent condition. do you think that is fair? thanks

Mine was pretty good, works excellently but worn paint etc.
I got it for a good price from my boss
I think $500 is a pretty reasonable price.
