Infeed roller on thicknesser
Hi All
purchased a secondhand hafco T20 thicnesser.
It did not seem like it had done much work, knives were unmarked.
took it back to the workshop and fired it up, yep, I know why it had never never been used.
either someone has fiddled with it or it wasn't set up properly from the shop.
anyway, after a few hours of fiddling it now works reasonably good.
so i have a question? the infeed roller seems to be a bit low or has too much spring pressure on it.
if you feed a short piece in, it will tip up as it goes over the bottom table roller.
the table roller only sits proud by a couple of thou, so i don't think this is the problem.
the infeed drive roller has approx 1 mm of lift as the timber passes under.
as it's a combination of lift and spring pressure, i'm not sure which to adjust.
any info as to how others are setup would be handy ( manual isn't much help )
Thanks
Andrew
