I respectfully suggest that you stay on your horse........and ride off into the sunset. If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Isn't life too short for this?

All I can say to you is that I was genuinely trying to help you and if you don't like my suggestion, then it costs you no more to ignore it than it did for me to suggest it. Frankly, I couldn't care less if you never use the search function. People are more than happy to give you their opinion, I even gave you mine. If you think that the search function is a waste of time, then don't use it."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

That was a joke and I'm hoping that you can tell the difference because I despair for you otherwise.

In defence of this community, I'm new here and have been given good and thoughtful answers to the couple of questions that I've asked. People have even tolerated and responded to my delving deeper or refocusing a thread question. Better than many places I've been.
I don't believe that there is an old/new culture, nor do I believe that there is an automatic "go search yourself" culture - my experience here doesn't show that.
I do think however that having a search first, both here and elsewhere is important and BJ you obviously did that.
Can't really see what the fuss is. I know that I come here because I like coming here, I hope that feeling continues.
Regards
Mike
