Thread: Major Dilemma - Carbatec Deluxe Jointer CT-196

Hi Guys

Major Problem - just when I needed it most, need the Wife's pressie finished by Monday and now, I dunno

Firstly I have only had the jointer for under 5 years

Secondly - when I first bought it - motor died first time I used it

I was using it today and going by the manual, tried to adjust the height on the out-feed table.

Whether I rotate the handle clockwise or anti-clockwise (I see the thread moving - and it comes all the way our or goes all the way in) the top will not move. I am guessing that perhaps the top part of the thread is not engaging properly?

Anyone have any ideas?

Then, I went to adjust the height of the infeed table and bang, the handle snapped off at the nut. gggrrrrrrrrr

Now I cannot adjust the infeed or outfeed height.

Question: - just to get me by for this project are there any ways I can temporarily fix this does anyone know.
