Default what's the best option for cleaning burnt resin off feed rollers?

What's everyone using to clean their infeed/outfeed rollers on their thicknessers? I've got a build up of burnt resin on them that I need to remove.
I saw an old thread recommending "Simple Green" from Bunnings. Good idea?? Oven cleaner perhaps? Other suggestions?

I have never had the problem on a thicknesser, but oven cleaner works well on saws

Whatever you use, keep it well away from the ends; you don't want anything getting in to the bearings and dissolving the grease.

Are these the pressure rollers? My thicky has 'rubberised' rollers to hold down the wood and feed it through. I don't know if I'd use oven cleaner on them! That is highly corrosive (Alkaline?), it might melt the roller material.
Or are your more robust metal ones?
You say burnt resin. How did it get burnt?

infeed is rubberised, and outfeed is toothed metal. Its the outfeed that has sap gumming up the serrations, so it doesn't feed as it should.

I painted mine with diesel (just enough to soak in) and left it overnight and it loosened the resin, several applications got it off and cleaned up with turp.

I used enamel thinners and a scotchbrite pad (gently) on both in and out...
