If anyone has any knowledge of the following problem it would save me a 90 minute round trip to the place of purchase as the unit is still under warranty but i want to avoid that if possible.
After the cutting performance dropped off recently i turned the knives to the unused side which is quite a simple task but after a test start upon completion all i got was a locked cutterblock and a slipping drive belt that was trying to shred itself. Close inspection revealed that the "lock lever" (# 59 in the handbook page 22) that you need to press down to manually turn the cutterblock to access both knives has somehow activated all the time stopping the cutterblock from turning. This was not a problem prior to me changing the knives around.
I have read the manual front to back about 3 times and there is no reference about this at all. I rang the retailer to no avail, they said just bring it in.
Can anyone save me please?
