Paulcall RS5 Manual?
Hi all, I recently bought a Paulcall radial arm saw which could use a bit of tinkering to get up to speed. Would anyone have a manual for this saw? I would greatly appreciate a copy if anyone has got one.
Thanks

I don't have the manuel, I have owned a paulcall ras for many years if you have a specfic prblem I may be able to help, they are very good machine, nothing much ever goes wrong with them, and I use mine nearly every day

Thanks for your reply.
The saw seems pretty straightforward, but there are a couple of things that I was less than certain about. Is there a way to adjust the motor in the yoke to correct for blade heeling? My saw didn't come with any sort of splitter or anti-kickback device, and while I'm sure plenty of people would cringe at the idea of actually using a radial arm saw for ripping, I'd like to have the option seeing as I don't have a table saw. Did this saw originally come with either a splitter or the like?

The saw did come with a anti-kicback device it is just a spike fitted to the guard, there was an upgrade using fingers, as for ripping I spent the first two years of my apprenticeship using the ras for ripping, it is quite sfe so long as you follow normal safety prcedures, motor adjustment Iam not sure I have never had to do it, I will have a look tomorrow ( 3rd) and let you know

Justin _P I had a good look at the ras, there does not appear to be any master adjustment, not without dismantling the saw, other than the normal angle adjustment, can you let me know what exactly is the problem

I'm probably being paranoid, but it seemed like the blade might have been slightly out of parallel to the travel of the carriage. But as you say, there doesn't appear to be any way to adjust this in a simple fashion. Have you ever had to fiddle around with the mouting of the motor into the yoke - is there any provision for adjustment there?

Justin_P no I have not had to play around with the motor mounting, if the blade is is not travelling parallel to the carriage it may sound obvious but make sure the carriage is set parllel, the markings may be out, the dial may have moved over the years
