    Default Powermatic 8" clean up?

I can't get the infeed table on my Powermatic 60B 8" jointer.

It has developed a sloping infeed table and no adjustment is working.

The consensus is that the keyway is jammed full of sawdust.

The plan is to completely remove the infeed table and give the keyway and key a good clean.

I removed all the gibs and screws but can't get the table to slide right out.

Can someone tell me what else I need to remove to get it out?

    Any other advice is welcome.

    Default Stumped

    No Rob.
It is still a big heavy piece of junk taking up space.

I did manage to remove the gib. It wasn't that dirty.

I gave it a clean and cleaned the space as best I could.

Getting it back in was straightforward.

Unfortunately it didn't make any difference.

Just don't know what to try next?????

    Good to hear from someone.
    Thanks.

Whats actually happened to the infeed table, sloping?
Its adjusted by shimming under the dovetail slides, cut up some drink can into small strips for shims.
If the table is slopping downwards along the length place shim material at the bottom of dovetail slide, place at the top if slopping upwards. The table will need to be shimmed to the same thickness on each side, unless the table is skewed to the outfeed table and cutter head.
Let me know how you go!

    Thanks Harry.

I did find some info on shimming and one of the woodworking magazine sites.
I'll see if I can find it again to see if they explain how to open the gap so I can get the shims in.

The table is level from side to side.
It is just the infeed table running down hiil to the cutters.

It sure would be good to be able to use it again.
