Good to see you got the product but sometimes I wonder if US suppliers really care about how their product is handled here. We only have the population base of a large US state and because of our high prices our turnover of machinery is probably only equivalent to a mid sized US state. We are a long way away, we also pay our bills on time and we don't complain about bad service.
Over 6 months ago we bought a US made lapping/polishing machine from a local company but have had ongoing problems with its motor. Eventually the Aussie distributor replaced it under warranty but we have had the same problems with the replacement and following numerous emails it became clear that they were unable to understand technical aspects of the problems so all they could offer was a full refund of the polisher. When I suggested they take it up with the US manufacturer they said it might be better if I deal direct with the US manufacturer. So I have done this and so far have had to pay $65 to ship the motor back to the US. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
