    Default Robland X31 thicknesser failure

lift mechanism. The lift started “squealing” so I raised it fully to lubricate it. On lowering it stuck a few inches from top.
The lift started “squealing” so I raised it fully to lubricate it. On lowering it stuck a few inches from top.So I applied a bit more force to the wheel and there was a snap and it now turns freely without any connection to
the mechanism. I cannot find any access to the mechanism and removing the panels is not at all obvious.

Have you heard of this issue? Can you suggest a solution or point me in the right direction?

PS. Have inverted machine and found broken pedestal base.

Can you remove the handwheel? unless you applied a tremendous amount of force (put your whole weight into it). The issue is most definitely related to the pin/ pin slot which holds the handwheel to the shaft. If you've broken the pin then this is the case it should be a fairly easy fix. If you've broken the pin slot or the shaft then things start ti get complicated/expensive

I thought I replied but it doesn't show, so... I have removed the hand wheel and the shaft turns freely without resistance or effect.
