    Default Roller recoating

    Hi all

The rubber coating on the rollers of my Dewalt DW1150 thicknesser/jointer is shot.

Replacement rollers are $150+ which is too rich for me.

Are there places (preferably in Perth) where one can get the rollers recoated in rubber? Or is this not a thing even?

    TIA

It's a thing, whether you'll actually save much money is the real question here.

If that is the case I will just stick with my chewed up rubbers. I'm not paying $150+ for a new roller.

That was a worthwhile phone call.

I gave the roller recoating people at the link in the post above a call, and they estimated about $95. The roller is only about 200mm long and about 20mm diameter.

That is a lot better than $160 to replace the whole roller.

    Thanks for everyones help
