SCMS with best Dust Collection
Can anyone please advise the SCMS with the best dust collection feature. I have seen sheds with dust from the SCMS , like the Makita LS1212, blown all over the the bench at the rear and sides of the saw. And that was with the inbuilt nozzle directing dust in to a small bag on the top of the machine
regards,
Jill

Hi Jill,
Without doubt, the Festool Kapex KS120 attached to a good vacuum.
I have an LS1214 and a Kapex, there is no comparison.
Regards,
Rob

Dust shield
G'day Jill,
Not exactly a DC, but an alternative. Something along this line,
http://www.fastcap.com/sawhood.aspx
Or maybe this setup, http://www.rousseauco.com/downdrafter/index.htm
One of the pic is a home made dust shield with a huge DC port down below.
None of which I own or use, but just a thought.
Cheers
GUNN

The little dust collection box that comes with some Makitas is good, it's not perfect, but its pretty good.
