Grizzly.com themselves stock the Byrd Shelix head to fit their GO 453 thicknesser, which certainly appears to be identical to the Carbatec CTJ381.
They charge US$629.95. I don't know whether they would ship to Australia, or what that would cost.

Look at the arrangement of cutters on CTS head vs. Byrd head. Byrd head has angled cutters - more like a shaving rather than a chipping cut with a straight-on cutter.

I have the Byrd cutter heads for both my 8" buzzer and 20' thicknesser both work really well.
The cost of a piece of steel to turn the blank for a 20" thicknesser isn't much at all.
However the cost of tips can vary hugely, Byrd tells me the tips they use are made in Germany...The alternates
makers of cutter heads i could never get an answer from as to what tips they are using. If you have ever bought cheap tipped chinese router cutters
for that one of quick and dirty the grade of tungsten quality is reflected in the price. Also be careful regarding the fit of bearings on the cutter
block. Strickly speaking both ends should be slight press fit. I have seen and heard of total disasters in regards to machining from China.
If you know how to do a "Tolerance drawing" for your shaft well and good. If you just rely on someone saying they will supply one then
you would want to ensure you have some sort of come back to that supplier. Having said all that many have purchased the cheaper alternative to the Byrd
and been very happy from what i have read.
Anyway just something to think about .
