well I could use the Frontline but these panels glue ups are 1.6m high. we only have 1.2m version here in NZ. to glue 1.6m I will have to use the Frontline Extenders.. takes time. so I just used my old and trusty Record clamps. I have several of these Record clamps at roughly 2m long, one of them I bought from an elderly lady in her 90's, I was wondering why she has a massive clamp thats almost twice her height and she said she inherited these from her father!

    A quick update.

The new spindle moulder wont be here until late January, early Feb 2021.

This is fine with me as I will be travelling (actually spend more time in quarantine) before End of January, if you are a business I dont know how you can wait for 7 months, possible 8 for a vital piece of machinery.

meanwhile I will just have to make do with my existing spindy..

    It finally arrived today.

Although I have the measurements already but it certainly felt bigger, it dwarfs everything else I have in the workshop, including the 1100mm wide SCM WBS

Will need to re-arrange workshop again...

Yes there is only one in there.. I wish there were two! when it is fully assembled it will be even bigger, at 4m long x 1.6m wide.

The SM has found its home.. for now.

Thats a sliding table on the left of the machine, one flick and its under the machine so the shaper can do profiling.

Does it have a tilting spindle Albert? Can you change the spindle quickly to put router cutters in? Like a felder or martin have?

Yes it does tilt both +46 and -46 deg, fully automated fence position, spindle tilt and height, I ordered mine with electro spindle so changing the spindle speed is done on the touch screen, no more belt to change.

There are two ways I can change the spindle setup/replace the cutter block
    1. Using the pneumatic lock
    2. HSK system (like Martin)

HSK system is way more expensive than pneumatic lock. hence I use the pneumatic lock for now and its more than enough, I am yet to use HSK system, I probably will never need to...

Here is a video of me using the pneumatic lock - a bit clumsy as I am still getting use to it.
