Jointer blades
G'day playmates................
I bought some jointer blades from Jesada when they had their sale.
When they arrived they turned out to be bigger that I expected.
They are 25mm wide rather than 20mm, will the extra protusion out of the cutter block make any difference?
Or will they chatter?
Or are they a danger?
I can adjust the table to suit them, but should I?
Cheers, Al

Ozwinner,
I don't think you should fit those blades, since the extra protrusion will be a danger. It will mean that your blades could take a massive bite and cause kick-back, if, for some reason, the workpiece tilted into the cutter block. Also, as you suggest, I suspect that the lack of support for the blade near its edge would have undesirable effects on the quality of the cut.
