Parts for spindle moulder
Hi
I have a combination-machine, and want to "optimize" it a little.
I am not very happy with the support of the wood, because i am not able to adjust the depth on the second support. I am not sure if you understand what i mean, but i will try to explain further: When i use the moulder, and take away some of the wood, the second support do not reach the working pice, and i have no support unless i use som kind of shims behind the support.
Is there any place i can get a complete support, made for any kind of machine? I believe it is easy to fit my machine, making new holes/ bolts.
Regards Christian

Hi Christian,
Welcome to the forum, could you show us some photos of your current setup.
I'm sure you should be able to pick up either a new or secondhand fence/head cover assembly.Kev

Hi Christian,
you need an adjustable outfeed fence. What make/model is your spindle moulder?

Christian,
Have a look at the L28 spindle moulder is this catalogue:
http://www.ejca.se/userfiles/file/ejca_catalogue.pdf
The fence on the L28 might fit your machine. You may have to drill and tap some holes in the table to attach it. You can email Jonas and ask him how much the fence assembly costs. I bought some parts for my old Luna W69 from Jonas and he was very helpful.
His email address is:

christiana,
I have a similar combination machine (SCM C35) and use an incra wonder fence and positionioning system. The fence is in two parts and is seperately adjustable. I also use this fence for the saw as it takes all the guess work out of adjustment. My sliding table has a incra mitre fence adapted, which is again easy to adjust and return to other settings accurately. My albums have some general pictures of this setup https://www.woodworkforums.com/member...tringy/albums/ I can post some more detailed pictures if you are interested!

The spindle on my machine is 31.75mm diameter and I run a multi profile cutterhead Freud UK - Multi-profile cutter head which is about 80mm dia with cutters, freud panel raising cutter about Freud UK - Panel raising system 125mm dia and freud rail and stile cutter Freud UK - Rail and stile door system 100mm dia, with no problems. I always run sacrificial fences and run these into the cutters to give the least gap possible between fence and cutter, one of the pictures shows the rail and stile cutter and fence.
The fence system is mounted from besides the mortising table which gave a fair bit of flex so anther guide hooks over the right of the saw bench edge where your saw fence rail is. The incra is not as solid as the cast iron one supplied but has now done quite a lot of work with no problems.
My spindle moulder also has a power feed as feeding into these large cutters by hand is not safe.
I will attempt to post some more pictures of mounting etc.
