Which spray to use for wide belt sander?
Hi all,
Recently I purchased a second hand wide belt sander (Holytek ct-1332s). The electrician has just finished this morning installing power outlet for it and other tools, so I began setting it up this afternoon. It was made in 1995 and the previous owner never used it. Perhaps then it is no surprise that the conveyor belt jams when I started using it - when I took off the conveyor belt the roller was pretty stiff so lubricated that.
So, I am wondering if it is OK to use silicon spray on the surface beneath the conveyor belt to reduce the friction that I guess is causing the belt to jam. Or, should i use another product like CRC Dry Glide?
Thanks!

G'Day John,
On my GMC thicknesser, I cleaned down the stainless slide on the bottom with metho to remove all traces of gum , glue, etc.. The sprayed on some ArmorAll.
Let it dry then gave it a buff up.. its like a sheet of Ice.. very slippery.. Also used it on the top of my Triton work bench and router table,.. Very slick...
Cheers and Beers
