TATRY Radial arm saw
Hi all
I just picked up this saw from a friend who is moving into a retirement village and couldnt take it with him.
I was wondering if any one would have some info on it as it dosnt have any plates to identify it and i have done an extensive search on Google and think that Tatry may have been bought out by Dewalt/Black and Decker but that is all i have found out for now
Cheers brad

Not sure if it helps but my 10" DeWalt 125 was made by Tatry. There should be a plate [stuck on or pop riveted] somewhere which should give you some info re voltage etc. The colour is similar to mine although mine is not badged Tatry as yours is. Just looking at the pix I think it is a 12" and would suggest you look at the manuals the forumites have posted for the larger machines.

I find this:
https://www.google.com/#hl=en&gs_rn=...or.r_qf.&cad=b
If the gentleman was using it, ask what voltage he was using and if it was 3 phase or single phase.
The rest of it you can figure out by playing with it. Not plugged in or running.
Here is info on using a radial arm saw.

It would be good to get some tips from a regular user.So much timber, so little time.

As mentioned above, the dual branded DeWalt/B+D saws were manufactured by Tatry. DeWalt built their own sawsfor a long time but were sold out to B+D who tried to domesticate the previously industry oriented DeWalt concepts. Ultimately they were supplying bandge engineered Tatry's. I have a late 60's DW740/B+D 7740 10inch which I purchased from a neighbour. He was the original owner, and the unit was purchased for him by a DW/B+D employee living accross the road. This saw and the original manuals are both dual branded.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.
