Thanks to everyone who has replied so far!
I have the following questions and then I'm done:
Does either camp have bad snipe issues or excessive tear out?
Does the metal serrated infeed roller on the CT bruise wood on light passes?
Can the DW really be run without a dusty, is the fan that good?

Q3 Yes the dewalt can be run without a dust collector. The fan IS that good.
A number of professional shops shown in magazines have both types of thicknessers. The larger unit is used for heavy duty work and the bench type used for finishing planing as it is said to leave a better finish.
