Thicknesser Dust Extraction
My 12 1/2" thicknesser is an old Carbatec CT318.
I dont think the DC extractor accessory (chute or hood or whatever its called) is available any more for this old model so I will make one.
I have a feeling that the ratio of the taper over its length is relatively important though probably not very critical
Can someone with a 12 1/2" thicknesser (make unimportant) give me the rough dimensions of their thicknessers hood please. If I copy something that works Ok I should get it right first go.

Thicnesser dust hood
Bob, the hood on my Delta looks a bit like a mangled rainwater downpipe fitting!
It's a flattened pyramid, 320mm across the outfeed side of the machine, 100mm thick (no fancy shaping needed for the hose fitting!) and about 150mm deep. Should be quite simple and undoubtedly cheaper than the $30 odd I paid for mine...

G'day,
See the attached pic. Its a dust hood for a CT340, but it should give you an idea.
Cheers,
Justin.
