Timber jumps on entry to thicknesser
If the board jumps up on the infeed of the thicknesser when it hits the infeed roller does this indicate a roller tension issue. On some occasions it jumps stays up with the roller skimming the corner and not feeding through.
Is it too much or not enough tension?

This can be caused by a few things
- bed rollers set too high
- too much tension on infeed roller
- feed technique
- cupped/twisted board
Happy investigating.

Twisted board usually. Have you jointed the opposite facefirst?

Hi Mat,
I had this issue when I first got my combo machine. In my case the roller tension was set way to high. Backing it off made it behave in a far more civilised manner.
Just a note when making any adjustments, do it in a methodical manner, keeping count of what you are doing so that you can get back to where you started if you make it worse.
