    Default New Toy

Got my self a new toy on Saturday, I have been promising my self a spindle Moulder for some time and I finally got getting one.

Getting it out of the trailer was easy, I used a ramp and walked it down

Fitting it to the mobile base had me scratching my head, no lifting gear so I used brute force to lift all 145Kgs the LOML gave me heaps for doing this.

All fitted up ready for work, I also purchased a 1/2" collet and coping sled.

They had them on special down from $1,995.00 to $1,495.00, I also got a 1/2" colett so I could use my router bits in it. I mounted a large panel bit in it and it cut really nice, it is a lot better than a router in a table, no burning, smother, quieter and safer I should have made the switch years ago.

Nice buy and seems like a good price too.

So ... what exactly is a spindle moulder?

Thanks Phil, that's a good price! Remember to keep your fingers away from the end when you get there.Seen a few blokes that went to sleep on a spindle, and regretted it.
