What type of DeWalt RAS is this? Parts?
Hello.
<o></o>
I was wondering if any of you would know the model numbers of the saw below.
I recently bought this DeWalt radial arm saw. I need the catch to lock the arm into position as it rotates. I have just got off the phone to DeWalt in Melbourne, who tell me that the grey saws were made in the 60's 70's. and they no longer stock parts for them. I have done a bit of research, and found that the DW 725/726 looks identical.
See the link from the DeWalt AU website., DeWalt, Service, Online Service, Instruction Manuals, Search products Radial Arm Saw.
https://service.toolcommerce.com/Pro...%20saw&CNType=
I am lead to believe this saw is early 90's, or 80's. I have no idea if the model number, as the decals have been removed. The saw is grey, and looks to have always been that colour. However the similar 725 and 726, I am told are yellow.

I would like to know if the parts are likely to be similar between he two? Or if any of you know the model of the saw it would be a great help.
<o></o>
Sorry for the poor quality photos, they are the only ones I have, and at the moment the saw is in parts, so I am unable to get more.
<o></o>
The only information I have is
<o></o>
The saw
in-rips 500 (scale)
out-rips 850 (scale)
the arm is 1005mm from the back to the front
<o></o>
Motor, 3 ph star/delta
Serial 9635-11
3kw/2kw
2700rpm
<o></o>
The catch recesses on the column are 45 / 0 / 45
13mm wide
34mm tall
And the catch goes on a 10mm shaft (the forward most lever on the side of the arm)
<o></o>
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi I'am new to this forum, but I also have a DeWalt RAS. It is a very usefull tool. There is a Dephi Forem se up for DeWalt Ras users. You may be able to get all your required information there.
Good luck with your saw.
