    Default setting thicknesser blade

I own a carbatec 15" thicknesser but I'm assuming the machines are similar. Mine was supplied with a special tool to set the blades. It has 2 'arms' on a single rod, one for each side. These arms touch the blade holder and have a centre section that set the height of the cutters. I'm not sure if I explained it properly but what it amounts to is that there is a tool that allows you to set the height of the cutters and it should have been part of the original machine when purchased. Hafco should be able to supply one if it is missing.

    Default Woodmaster Thicknesser

I have one of those tools which came with a 12" thicknesser (Chinese made 2 blade) it says 1.5mm clearence. I am not sure if all machines have the same measurement. Does your gauge have any numbers on the side of the end pieces.

    Default setting thicknesser blade

Mine requires that the centre protrusion of each arm is supposed to just touch the blades. There is no measuring required. The blades are just adjusted with a screw in each side of the cutter holder till this happens.
