Default Are there any Australia retailers of Budget Jointer/Planer Combos?

    -
I am a hobby woodworker who needs to clean up and straighten a lot of small wooden stock. A small, budget, Jointer/Planer Combo like the JET JJP-10BTOS, 10" or the Rikon 25-010 10" would be perfect for the job/workload and the relatively small space I have to keep it in.

Unfortunately I cannot find either of these units for sale in Australia (plus the Jet unit is 110V). Does anyone know of an Australian retailer for either of these machines or for an alternative brand/unit with similar characteristics? I would have thought there was a market for these but I am having a hard time finding anything on the more hobbyist end of the scale.

    My thanks for your time.

Can't help you with the brand -but when I was looking at such things some years ago I settled on a 10" version (about $800 more for the 12") that had NO branding (presumably Chinese/ Taiwan?) good cast tables mice rise and fall -single Large column, Extruded fence with cast iron support and adjustment, 2 speed. Done a bit of work by now and no serious issues (was designed for double sided disposable blades -since converted to re sharpen able 1/8 blades. Involved filing the pins off that held the disposables.) Only real complaints was that service/ advice was totally non existent. Was white if that's of any help.
Also got a similar 20" bandsaw which apart from the removable soft plastic bit ( can't think of the term ATM) in the table around the blade -Which should be banned before someone looses fingers. has been good as well -will rip just under 300 mm. Was easily replaced with something MUCH more suitable -steel with redgum near the blade. The 3 HP motor appears to be what it claims too. Chinese apear to have tiny or weak horses with some of their claims.
