Elektra bekum hc260 drive belt from motor to cutterhead won't stay on any clue would as to what could be causing this cheers

Worn belt, worn pulleys, loose pulley's, miss aligned pulley's, worn mounting brackets, broken mounting brackets, probably just try a new belt.

Thankyou that's just about covered everything it has now decided to behave itself after much fettling and swearing at it.and it is a brand new belt . Also wondering if there is a way of converting to a chain drive.thanks for your reply regards.
