I had the smaller version of the caratec one with the 6 inch disk. The drive end of the belt only had one bearing on the drive side and I found that over 18 months 2 years I had to replace it 3 times so I did away with the belt altogether and now only use the disk. the problem may have been changed by now as a manufacturing fault. just thought i would stick my 2 bobs worth in.
Cheers mate

Check out their HP ratings
I'd be aiming for the one that has the higher HP and looks the most robust.
As a rough guide
370watts is 1/2HP
550watts is 3/4HP
750watts is 1HPCheers

I have the 6x9 lovely machine. Don't know why you would buy the 4x8.
For the record I paid $277 last yrs wood show in Brisbane. This yr's is nearly here.
