Yes, mine is attached direct to the non return valve. Yours look to be attached to the motor bracket with two screws. Hopefully there is enough slack in the wiring to manipulate the solenoid to get access to exhaust port.

FF, I see you're not in the school of thought that glues foam inside as a sound deadener. It's been a while since reading up on it, so I forget the fine points of argument, but some believe you should and other believe it's unnecessary. Both schools appeal to physics, I don't know if anyone has won the argument yet.
Also, it looks like you don't have an air inlet in the cabinet for the compressor to get it's air supply. Are you just relying on gaps around the pipes? The air inlet is a bugbear viz. noise, so you see designs for cabinets with complex baffle systems to let the air in but not let sound out. Not having built one, I don't know if that's overthinking it or not.

The only one I glued was on the door, for convenience. I figured the other two could be loose because if they vibrate then that is just taking more energy out the machine vibrations anyway....
The sheet of foam standing up on the left has a large piece cut from the bottom so as to bridge the inlet vent, and allow air direct access to the machine.
Oh, and the other thing is that it so damn quiet there is just no need to do anything more....
So what drill press are you going for FF?

I live in my itty bitty unit now. Not wanting to off the neighbours toooooo much, I'm going to buy a Chicago HUSH50 silenced compressor.
With the Brass Silencers, what thread did the HUSH50 end up using FF?
I haven't put the brass silencers on - cheap as they are I just don't think I need them because of the location of the compressor. It really just sounds like a loud SBD fart, but in your situation I think it would be wise. Somewhere down in the thread was the answer to your question though, from someone else.
Since I last posted in this thread I’ve fitted silencers to the 3 auto drain valves (ADVs) in my retic comp air system. Two of the 3 ADVs are outside the shed so the noise reduction is for the neighbors. Inside the shed the noise reduction is for me. The auto vent times are 50ms every 50m. The combo of the short discharge time and the silencers are very effective.Each discharge is a barely noticeable “phyt”.
Bought the Chicago HUSH50 from Sydney Tools.

As a demonstration, I fired it up in the lounge room (yay said SWMBO!) and it was quiet enough to have an ordinary conversation over. It did not intrude.
If one turns on only one of the motors, it is even quieter.
The local traffic noise is worse. Neighbours (units) wont even notice it.

I bought SWMBO her own "toy" compressor yesterday for her birthday. It's a 1/5th HP, 3L tank, oil free, 53dB at 1m and it has no exhaust noise at the end of the recharge cycle. She plans to use it for small airbrush ceramics work inside the house so my next job is to setup a small fine spray booth for her. It cost ~$100 on eBay, it's not worth getting anything better for her - she will probably only use for a short time and then it will sit in a corner and gather dust. It came with a small regulator but no on/off tap??
These little toy ones are absolute trojans. I was once into airbrushing and bought the Iwata model.
That thing can absolutely hammer out the air. Perfect for airbrushing... these go second hand all the time.
BTW, absolutely love this low noise HUSH50, it is also very small! Perfect for my micro-environment. :) :)
