Default Carbide Cutters for Helical Cutters

Has anyone bought aftermarket cutters for their helical cutter head machine.
I'm particularly interested for a router but assume would be similar for a jointer.
    Comments also welcome.

I found some on Aliexpress. (very long addresses)

    Thanks Ian,

SJE Tools never came up in a couple of long internet sessions.
    Prices very competitive, and local.
    Info much appreciated.

    Cheers

+1 more for SJE. Over the past few years we’ve bought several sets from Steve for our Men’s Shed thicknesser - it gets a pounding. Particularly love the 100% carbide cutters.

    Default Chinese carbide cutter bits

I have bought several thousand carbide bits directly from the actual Chinese maker for our woodworking club and for a local Men's Shed. this was such a big order that the factory was happy to supply. Chinese makers are now very high tech and the quality has been excellent - the price was about 1/3 the local retail price ( about $2-50 each). You can now get small quantities in packs of 10 from Aliexpress etc BUT BUT be sure you have the the type correctly worked out. There are three measurements - the side width , the thickness and whether it is rounded or straight edge . The description is usually obvious - the R100 and R150 etc refers the rounded radius.

The OP doesn't want to buy several thousand. Why anyone would buy these on Aliexpress when sje sells in lots of 10 for under $40 I can't understand. Guaranteed quality, expert advice on suitability and fitment and you don't have to wait an age for delivery. You can't go wrong.

Just one minor correction though - I actually sell per piece - if you want 1, 2 or 23 or how ever many inserts .. .. it's not a problem.
