Carbitool saw blades, anyone tried them?
Brought home a Bosch gcm12 last night and was looking for a quality crosscut blade to have on hand for when I want to off the standard one.
So google has put me onto Carbitool blades (this one specifically) and was wondering if anyone has given them a go. I'm a fan of their router bits and don't imagine I'd be disappointed.
It's a bit more than the CMT from carbatec but I don't really like shopping there if I can avoid it.
Cheers
Craig

Assume you are talking about the last blade on the list as that's the only 305mm one.

I own one of their 350mm radial arm saw blades. It's great and their customer service is awesome. They sent me a custom size bush for free.
Cheers, Zac.

Love their router bits, but I was quite disappointed when we tried one of their saw blades at work. Try Leuco, Dimar or AKE

I wasn't familiar with any of those brands and after a some research have ordered a crosscut blade from AKE.
Finally got around to a trial cut on some 30mm ply and the stock Bosch blade is definitely better than some I've had.
Thanks guys

I think much depends on exactly what you are doing. I have a Bosch SCMS ( not the glide model) and the original 305mm 60T Bosch blade is satisfactory. The Bluemak blades I have, made by Makita, are much better again. Last time I bought, the Bosch were around $80 and the Bluemak $90 to $100. They may be a little more expensive now. Of course there will be better blades, but at what cost? And are these blades value for money.
By choice I have gone for Bluemak in recent times for 184mm, 235mm (rip) and 305mm. Typically I am cutting Spotted Gum, Forest Red Gum, Ironbark and the Casuarina Oaks: On a day off I can cut pine .

We've been running the saw since 2016, blades get swapped out and sent for sharpening every 3 months or so, it's probably at the end of it's life now but it's definitely had more than 2 or 3 shapenings, photo below of what's left of the teeth after it's last sharpening.

Saw Sharpening | Tool Sharpening | Combined Saw and Knife is where I get most of my saw blades. They will even grind it to your specs. Mind you, they are only a 15 minute drive from my place, so its only a short trip to get saw blades repaired and/or re-sharpened.
I even get value out of them for saw blades for building work.
