    Default drum sander problem

    Hi,

    I have one of these

    Carba-Tec® 400mm Wide Drum Sander : CARBA-TEC

carbatec 400 mm drum sander. If I ever had the manual I can't find it.

I tried to change the paper today but did something wrong and it came out.

I can see the free end clamp but can't see the end near the motor.

Can someone give me some pointers on how to fit the paper to that end as that's where it came out. The end near the motor..

    Thank you in advance.

It's a pain but you've got to get your finger inside the drum and feel around for the spring loaded catch then squeeze in open and poke the tapered end of the paper though it, Takes a bit of getting used to but it's like riding a bike once you know how you'll never forget

    Cheers

    Thank you for the reply.

I figured it out this morning and completed the work. Now I have to figure out why I'm getting so much tearout on the thicknesser. It's wrecking the grain all over the place and making an nasty noise as it cuts. Might be blunt blades ?

I bought these two machines some time back but only now, having finished work, do I have time to do some work on them.
