How not to use a dust extractor
The old dust extractor wasn't sucking as well as it should. So I check it out and there's a clog deep in the run that I have. My extractor sits outside of the garage and is hard to get to. With the power off I tried in vain to clear it, but that didn't work. I then had a great idea. Use some yellow tongue flexible plastic. With the power on to give it some support, I poked and thrust and it helped. I then tried one more thrust and I hear crunch and grind as the yellow tongue is dragged out of my hand. Turn the extractor off and then on, it makes a sick sound. Turn on again and the sound is gone. At this stage I don't know what to think. My extractor is awkward to get to but I really have no option to take it out of the mini shed that it's in and see what has happened. Now there's no sign of the yellow tongue, it's not in the bag, apparetly not anywhere in the housing of the dust extractor. Anyone have any idea what happened to it and the future health of my dust extractor?
