Hi, Heres something a bit out of the ordinary (for most wood workers)
I am looking to buy an ex army rough terrain forklift, I have seen them advertise for sale through dealerships, but wonder if any one knows how or where to buy used equiptment straight from the army or RAAF???

I can ask the fellas at work what happens when they get rid of or upgrade their forklifts. I'm in a Infantry unit but we have plenty of ordance corps members who buzz around in forklifts.

Disposals are managed by the Defence Disposals Agency in Sydney. They contract the actual public sales out to Manheim-Fowles so looking through their listings may help.

I'm ex military and one of my jobs was getting stuff ready for auction. Locally, here in Townsville, most auctions are done through a local agent like Ilses Love, or Fowlers and they advertise in the local rag when ever there is military equipment for sale.
A lot of equipment these days is leased and at the end of the lease period is just sent back to who ever they got it from.I make sawdust with powertools.
