Grey/parallel importing was a problem years ago when the big tool chains first appeared and some big names such as Makita suffered as a result because the tools being imported were generally not models supplied by the OEM's in Oz.I guess some sort of understanding was arrived at because the problem seems to have gone away.

I’ve bought spare parts from Timbecon for our Men’s Shed bandsaw. Drive wheel, belt, guide bearings etc. not always in stock of course but everything has turned up in a respectable timeframe.
