Planing attachment for drill press?
(Sorry if this has already been discussed - couldn't find anything with a brief search)
Can anyone recommend a planing attachment for a drill press and where to buy it? Is such a thing available in Oz? I have seen ads on the internet for US made devices.
I want it for preparing flat slabs of wood for glueing edge to edge for use in building solid body guitar bodies, if that makes sense.

Safe-T-Planer. You can get it in OZ, but I got mine from StewMac in the US - the tool plus shipping was way less than the Aussie cost. I think CarbaTec sell it for about $140. Stwmac has it for $60 http://www.stewmac.com/cgi-bin/hazel...l&CURRENCY=AUD
peterThe other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Thanks everyone, for your help, sorry I haven't been back for a while.
Jim - can I put in an online order for it at your site? I can't see it in your catalogue by searching. How much would delivery be to Melbourne? (Yes, it's just up the road, but I won't be able to get down to Drysdale for the next few weekends).
Thanks again,
JM

Hi everyone,
I've seen these in catalogues, and have wondered about their use. Are they a substitute for a thicknesser for mostly smaller or delicate items? Do they give any other advantages?
Cheers,
Nathan.
