Default Need help to find O-ring Belt for Sher Multifunction Drill Press

    MutifuctionDrillPress.png
    Hi
I have a "Sher Power Tools" model BPOSC5 Multifunction Drill Press for years. Looks like Craftsman's in picture.
I been able to replace the v-belt (from auto spares) but unable to find a replacement nylon O-ring type belt that is used to oscillates the spindle up and down for drum sanding.
    Does anyone knows
    1. Who is the agent for Sher Power Tools in Australia?
    2. Where can I find a substitute belt.
The Singer Sewing machine motor "stretch belt" is similar but unfortunately too long in terms of circumference. I may splice a sewving Machine Belt if I can find a correct length belt.

Belt thickness is 5mm diameter. Circumference of o-ring about 24cm

    Thanks in advance
    Reuel

Places such as CBC bearings sell it by the metre, just cut to length and glue with a industrial grade super glue

    Thank You.

Will "Solgrip" Industrial Quality EPDM rubber Adhesive do?
Clark Rubber said that is the strongest glue they have.

industrial SUPERGLUE will be and do a better job, the rubber glue from CLARK RUBBER , will not be strong enough for your application due to a couple of factors,
    1 lack of contact area
2 industrial "O"ring material is made to be chemical resistant, so it will not soften &fuse with adhesives.

    Thanks.
I went to Bunnings. There are Superglue labelled "stronger", "strongest ever". I cannot find one with word "industrial" on label.
What brand - where to but them?

Loctite 421 is the one you want for bonding rubber o ring material.
Keep the unused adhesive in the fridge so it lasts better.
