I should probably post a picture. The old one has a lot more nylon threads inside the rubber. It looks a lot stronger.

OK this is printed on the belt. Logo says "Fair". Power transmission belt 384-S3M. The belt is 10mm wide & 384mm long.
So it’s a toothed, flat belt going by the part number. Sorry but I had problems with your photo.
It is something like this one. Found a few on ebay but they are 12mm wide. I might trim it down to 10mm myself.

Try this site about half way down the page for $11.88. The 2SM is just a common high tension timing belt and it may have been 12mm wide originally and is now worn down.
Thanks for the info.
When I got the new belt last year it was exactly 10mm.
Hi Wongo,
You can fit sprockets and chain to these apparently. If you go to -Woodworking Talk.Com- Jet supersaw Timing belt (blade height adj.) issue. Then scroll to Post:20 for a picture. I have sprocket and chain sizes if you need to go looking for them.

Ross
WOW!!! That is impressive. It looks pretty hard to do and will be expensive. Yes can I please have the sizes and when do I get them from if you know?
Thanks very much.
BTW the existing method is very poor. I do not know how it could pass them their engineers (if they had any)
I think the upper sprocket should be 2-3 times larger. That will work so much better.
Buy once and buy the best Gates Catalogue
No, it think it will be faster.
For the supersaw it is very hard to do one turn on the wheel. I normally do half a turn with 2 hands on the wheel, stop, then another half a turn. It takes a long time to raise the blade. With a bigger upper sprocket I can do it all in one go.
Hi Wongo,
My spare belt is a-Synchroflex 9(R)timing belt, 390Lx10Wmm Stock No.4745498 - Made in GERMANY- I got it from RS Components Wetherill Park - cost $23.84
Quality wise- won't know until I try it. O K back to the chain- From my interweb gleanings people are quoting #25 top sprocket !9-21 tooth- 3/8"Bore. #25 lower sprocket 14 tooth with 1/2" bore and #25 chain.

Ross
