    I read of this pact.

However, I feel it has led to some boring looking gear. A workshop with festool, jet or laguna looks great.

If ones workshop were comprehensively styled, it would make it beautiful and shows the care that goes into a product. Like a Ferrari F1 workshop.....sexy!

I have considered and sumarily rejected the notion of a pink lathe. My daughter will choose pink 100% of the time, despite our encouragement towards any other colour, and I really don't need anything else pink

That's probably what they will all end up being Pat. I'd have to buy all those different colours and there is a limit to how much I can spend
Still like the idea of a bit of pinstriping though. And some scroll work.

    Tony

Blue's good 'cos blue was what I had .

Copy of lathe in action 002.jpg

But some pin-striping would have been really cool .

    Tony

The previous picture of a Tough lathe (very similar to the Woodfast) belongs to my son, but I do have a cheapie from Carbatec, which was a cast off from my son. It spent many years out in the weather and I have just refurbished it. I had planned to put up a thread, but have not done it yet.

Guess what? I had some blue paint left over .
