    When I reassembled it I realised the outter disc does not "float"as I described earlier in the post. About the only thing is seems to do is help lock the inner disc onto the shaft. The outer disc can't rotate the shaft holding screw because of the pins that pass from it to the inner disc. Given the amount of metal spinning around that is probably not a bad idea.

    I have a linisher, but it has no disc, and in fact I've never used one. It will be interesting to see the dust extraction solution.

    This is the wood fast solution and most others are similar.

    They all basically enclose the bottom half/third of the disc and suck on the enclosure.
    It's pretty obvious that this one can't breathe properly and the ducting is way too small.
    However even at this size they are surprisingly effective.
    Most use 62.5 mm ducting but I will try to use 100 mm

    I was gunna say my place ...after you finished modding it of course......but I see it has made what appears to be a permanent foot print in your workshop....

    Thanks Joe, I'm not happy with its location but that will have to be it while I test it out and see what happens. It might eventually end up at the milling yard or the mens shed.
