Default Anyone in Melbourne help me find a decent shop pedestal drill press for $300 to $600

Can anyone in Melbourne tell me if I can get a decent shop pedestal drill press for $300 to $600AU?

A make and model that you have hands on experience with would be great.
Or one that you consider could be a steal.
Or rather a really nice one for this price range?

Mines a table mount and a bit wobbly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please let me know if you feel I should save up for a better model, etc.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks,

I think this one fit your budget, it has a 20mm drill capacity and it is similar to the one I have.

    Gday Barry

I have this one, purchased as an upgrade/improvement from a Ryobi.

    https://www.timbecon.com.au/sherwood...or-drill-press.

Currently listed as reduced for July sale @ $499.

I added a keyless chuck from Banggood, and I mounted it on a 6 wheel form ply base.

I am very happy with it for my level of use.

    Cheers and good luck
    Keith

What is the secondhand market like locally?

Many of the Chineese drill presses are just to cheaply made without enough material in them.

Not an expert in drill presses.

But my standard searches on the local market doesn't have anything that I recognize as a good buy.
    Thanks,

Plenty of decent stuff in Vic.
Probably need to up your budget a little though to around 1k to get something reasonable.
