ML392 combo thicknesser cutter bearing replacement
Could someone please give me some hints as to what I have to take apart to replace the cutter spindle bearings in my older Carbatec thicknesser/jointer combo machine?
I can't figure out how to get to them. There seem to be 4 Allenhead bolts on either side of both cast iron rails holding the beatings in somehow. And it looks like I would have to take the entire drive side casting apart and off the machine to get to the bearings. Could that be right?
My cutter spindle freely moves from side to side until it hits the cast sides. So do the feed rollers. Seems something is not right here....
Any advice gladly accepted!
Cheers,
Joe
