Hi Eager B .
What did we chat about a long time ago ? .
You asked.
"I couldn't help notice that beautiful cabinet in the background, where did it come from?"
Thanks . Which cabinet ? The Bench ? That's my Jarrah workbench. I made it roughly 27 years ago. There's a thread to its making in the workbench section .
The Cabinet to its left . A four door cabinet holding my Electrical hand tools is a 19th c Barossa Valley Food cupboard . Turned tool storage . It would have originally have had perforated zinc mesh on its doors but someone replaced them with wooden panels.
Rob .

I have three hammer machines that have the two-wheels-and-pivot thing. I've converted two of them to mobile bases like the bora mentioned above (a timbecon variant if I remember correctly).
The issue with the 2-and-pivot thing is that you need to move the machine back and forth - like reverse parking a car - to change postions. Not really a problem if you have lots of space, but it's a pain in the buttocks if space is limited. The 4 wheel bases with four swivel wheels are much more manoeuvrable.

I agree with Bern, I bolted 2 of these together for my T/S and Router table combo.
