    Default Planer/ Thicknesser Blades

    G'day Fella's, anyone know where I can get blades for a CT330 Thicknesser/ Planer?
They're 330mm or 13.5 inches, double edged and and have 2 locating holes. CarbaTec are charging $69 a pair and $50 to sharpen them, which is a bit rich.

That should be the spur on you need to start sharpening them yourself. Plenty of info on this site and loads more on the net. Make a wood jig and glue some sandpaper to a flat surface. Every sharpen you save $50 so what could be better.

I had mine sharpened at Henry Bros. for $10 each.
    Try your local saw doctor/sharpener.

As well as sharpening, I've also had Henry Bros make up extra sets of blades for my JPT-310. Better quality and much cheaper than the JET items.

Your only problem might be the need for holes in the blades - the JPT-310 takes just a straight blade with no holes, so Henry Bros can make them from standard blade stock which they buy in long lengths. Don't know if they have a capability to put holes in the blades.

I am sure they could match the holes in your blades.
Either take your existing blades or give them the model details.

I had had blades made and sharpened.
    A Good service.
