Well, I guess he was unlucky, or have much higher expectations than I have. I do not notice any blade play in mine, and can cut without too much effort with good accuracy.

Most 216mm saw blades come with a 30mm bore, the 216mm platform had the Elu saw as the market leader for many years & was extremely popular for the fit out market due to its compactness & accuracy. Elu is now owned by Dewalt & the saw has been released in there range for the past 10 years. The Milwaukee saw is based on the same principles but is slightly heavier & bibigger great blades for the 216mm range are the flai, made in Italy they feature Teflon coating & an extremely hi quality tungsten tooth giving it superior life & a hi quality cut

ps. Haven't heard of any new upgrades to the kapex saws, so it will be at least 6 months minimum away

Cheers buddy. I am trying to get a second inner/outer flange for it, so i can one for 20mm or 25mm bores and 1 for 30mm.

Saw the Festool wholesale price list today and looked up the Kapex KS120 $1680 (RRP $1850)

Most of the items like that are at a 15% Margin. Premium Dealers get a slightly bigger margin, of which Just Tools is currently the only one in Vic, but more are about to open up. Premium Dealers get a slightly bigger margin.

Just Tools currently have the Kapex @ $1595 which is cheaper than regular wholesale……. Still more than I can afford.

So if there is price gouging with Festool it lies with the distributor. Also you can buy the 240V units retail from UK or Italy and have them shipped here for about $1200 total. (Shipping included was $260, item under $1000 threshold) This is still way under what the Aussie retailers pay wholesale.

Potentially miss out on 3yr warranty.

Definitely miss out on the warranty and Tool Technics will not repair these items. If you buy from someone bringing them in by themselves without TT's knowledge, that person is liable for the warranty.

I think the $1000 limit includes shipping, so this would push it over the limit and potentially mean you need to pay GST.
