Default Where to source belt for Carbatec 12-1/2" thicknesser near Katoomba NSW?

I blew the belt on my Carbatec 12 1/2" thicknesser about an hour ago. Now, I know I have a couple of spares... this ain't the first time and 'twas such a PITA to source in Vic at the time that I bought 3 or 4, 'just in case.'
Somehow, I can't find any of them. Apparently they're further casualties of the move to NSW.

So, anyone know where I can buy a ribbed belt for a thicknesser relatively close to Katoomba? Or will do mail order at reasonable rates?

I haven't stripped the machine down to measure it up yet, but part of the belt flew out the side relatively intact and it's around 350mm long. Peering down the side of the unit with a flashlight, I can see that the pulleys have 6 grooves. (More accurate measurements will ensue once I'm no longer feeling so... 'peeved.' I've found that it's not a good idea for me to strip down machines when I'm inclined to throw the parts across the room in a temper tantrum. )
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

It might come to that yet, but I've been putting that approach off because of the last time I tried, back in Vic. Mind you I telephoned them then - not applied online.

    Perhaps that'll make a difference?

(Last time involved several calls with a desk-jockey who didn't know what a thicknesser was & denied that they even sold them, let alone carried parts! )

I am not familiar with the machine.
Have a look at the back of the belt and see if there is a size marked on it.
If there is you should be able to obtain a replacement through an engineering supply, or belt supplier such as Blackwoods.
The belt length and profile are the important details.
Belt life is effected by time since manufacture (it is rubber), stopping and starting, the condition of the pulleys and a host of other factors. It is also worth having a spare or two, when the last one is put in service; reorder.

Once you know your belt size, write it on the cover of the machine to make it easier to obtain a replacement.

I'll second Rydell as a business to deal with. I bought a Vee ribbed belt last week from them in Perth.

Called Carbatec for Skew (cause we all know how much Skew LOVES phones)

Turns out they don't source their own belts anymore. They import them from Delta in the states.
So 1 replacement belt is $58.

I think we might be going with Rydell unless anyone else has a supplier we can try.

If you end up ordering from Blacktown I may be able to pick up and bring to Katoomba GTG
