Whats your most expensive spare part?
Hi,
My makita LS1040 seems to have lost its lock switch. That little plastic button on top of the handle that you need to press before pulling the grip.
I had a look on the web for the part number and dealers.
I found this link on the web in the US for the part Switch Button [411478-6] - $1.43 at eReplacementParts.com
$1.43. OK I though, maybe 3 bucks here, $5 dollars tops.
Went to authorized dealer.
and when the little plastic part came I was asked to hand over $12.
I told them I'd take it with me and didn't need a security guard to deliver it.
They claim that their cost price is $9.69 from makita.
Whats the most expensive part you've needed to get to have a machine working again.
And I mean value for money, not total cost.
