Where can I get sticky backed sandpaper disks from ?
I guess its being fazed out. Everything in the carbatec catalog is velcro style to match their disk sanders.
But I don't want velcro with the jig I'm making. Too spongy. want it hard.
I purchased some sticky back from super cheap auto but they had nothing around the 300mm diameter to match my disk.
thanks.

Jake try TheSandpaperMan from this thread, he has a website and if he hasn't got it on the site let him know via that thread and he'll let you know if he has it or can get some.

Shearers use a pressure pack spray glue to hold their discs on the big sanders that they sharpen their combs & cutters on.
I think it might be Bear brand but not sure

There is a spray you can get that if you put it on one surface it is temporary, both surfaces is permanent. It is very handy in the workshop. Next time I go out I'll have a look.

Bostik make the pressure sensitive adhesive for sticking on discs.
Could get sticky discs direct from any abrasives supplier.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I have used just regular contact adhesive for a while, and it comes off with meth. Hoping there'd be a product out there that holds the paper well enough but not so much that the paper tears when you try to take it off. Thats what happens with the adhesive I've been using. pain.

Re:- Adhesive Backed Sandpaper
We can get these discs made for you with an adhesive backing, minimum order quantity is approximately 5 discs per grit. We can quote on individual sizes if you send us a private email with your size and grit required. Lead time to get these manufactured would be about 7 working days.
Alternatively, we have a hook and loop converter with an adhesive backing on it, which you peel and put on your face plate, and then you can use hook and loop discs, of which we keep some in stock. (not yet listed on our website). The Sandpaper Man.
