Default Is there any "one stop shop" for all the woodworking shop tools?

    Dear friends,

I am recently retired...yeyyyy!!!! Yet not that old to sit on my ass, neither rich to start traveling around the world.... So I was thinking to start a business.

Namely, a prototyping office with its own production capabilities, where where we can service companies and/or individuals, with their proof of concept, appearance, engineering prototyping, and low volume manufacturing.

If would be to recommend me an "one stop shop" company brand for all the base and handheld power tools, what would that be? DeWalt, Milwaukee, Bosch, Hilti, Ryobi Makita, Festool, etc

    Thank you for your time.

Makita if you are looking for brands.

If you are looking for a retailer That's tricky. Most specialise in either fine woodworking, heavy workshop machiner, metalworking or general trade supplies.

You're in Germany? Most of the members on here are based in Australia so are unlikely to be able to help much. It sounds like you're mainly interested in hand held power tools, don't you have tradesman tool stores in your area?

    Hey RB,

I would think so too. Given the fact that is a German company, and their main factory and show room are about 300 km away from me, (in Germany that's about 1.5 hrs. driving time...LOL!!!), that would not be bad. However, how do they measure up with the American and Japanese brands mentioned in my original post.
From my understanding, the Germans make some great CNCs too. So good, that Chinese woodworking manufacturers buy them

Yes, there are tradesman tool stores, but the selection on American and Japanese tools is very limited, especially CNCs, planers, table saws, compound miter saws. band saws, etc. Most of them are hobby level for the garage shop

If I could afford them I would take Festool hand held power tools over most Japanese or American tools (many of which are made in China)

Doesn't sound bad at all, specially because they are 300 km away from me. I will start checking them out. Thank you for your input.
How about miter/table/scroll/band saws, joiner, planes, drum sander, router/router table, CNC?

Dictum is a pretty good German online retailer. I've bought from them a couple of times.

And if you're after high end stuff, look at Mafell too.

What size CNC are you after (or alternatively, what do you want to do with it)?

Dictum looks good! Thank you for sharing.

As for the CNC, I am looking for a small/medium production-grade, 4′ x 8′, 5′ x 10′ table size, suitable for milling, laser cutting, engraving.
